Feast of Stephen – boxing Day
These circles are part of the Christmas lights on London’s Regent Street.
The sad tone of Carpe Diem’s Christmas Day episode #885 and its visit to the temple of Kannon, the goddess of mercy and compassion, turned my thoughts to those who have been unexpectedly touched by the power of nature this Christmas.
This little chap is the newest member of the family. He’s loved every minute of Christmas excitement so far but it has finally become too much to cope with without a little nap.
I collect Christmas decorations. Every decoration I put on my tree is a memory of a place, experience or of a person. The ones in the collage above remind me of happy times with my Mum – her helping me decorate my first Christmas Tree in my own home, her eye’s sparkling as she celebrated Christmases with her beloved grandchildren. The little ice cube snowman is one of my favourites. I bought it during what turned out to be our last ever shopping trip – bitter sweet memories.
