Hello my bloggy friends!
Can you help? Have you got any advice or helpful tips?
We are lucky enough to be spending Christmas in New York this year. A welcome break after a difficult year.
What shouldn’t we miss? Can you recommend somewhere amazing that’s off the usual tourist track?
Can you recommend any restaurants with a good gluten free menu? Are they likely to be open on Christmas Day?
Only 25 sleeps!!!
Well it’s the official – Christmas began at school today. Christmas displays are going up, we lit the first Advent candle and sang the first carol of the season!
The last book as been marked, the nativity plays, Christmas Jumper days, parties and carol concerts are over, cards and calendars covered in glitter and the holidays have finally begun. Time to recharge the batteries and enjoy all the festive traditions.
One of my favourite traditions is Santa Claus – here are a few of my favourite Santas.
My pagan Santa – with memories of Odin riding across the sky in a sledge pulled by reindeer and giving presents.
This Santa reminds me of St Nicholas, protector of children, who is reputed to out gold coins in shoes.
My Mum’s papier mache Santa.
My very modern Santa – always busy!
My Clement Clarke Moore Santa.
