BUILDING BLOCKS OF HISTORY 2nd AUGUST

Things happen every day, big and small. Together they make our family history, our local history, our country’s history and sometimes they become part of global history.

All of these things happened on 2nd August in years gone by.

In 1100 King William II was killed by an arrow whilst hunting in the New Forest.

In 1875 the UK’s first roller skating rink opened in Belgravia.

1n 1932 Peter O’Toole was born.

In 2014 a walk around Harrogate’s Valley Gardens recharged our batteries in the middle of a family crisis.

When, without warning,

tragedy strikes. Our whole world

changes forever.
