Building Blocks of History – 19th July

Things happen every day, big and small. Together they make our family history, our local history, our country’s history and sometimes they become part of global history.

All of these things happened on 19th July in years gone by.

In 1545 Henry VIII’s Mary Rose sank in the Solent.

1n 1553 Lady Jane Grey was deposed as Queen.

In 1799 the Rosetta Stone was discovered.

In 2013 I was a very proud mum at my daughter’s graduation.

Good education

Unravelling history

Key to the future.
