BUILDING BLOCKS OF HISTORY 14TH JUNE

Things happen every day, big and small. Together they make our family history, our local history, our country’s history and sometimes they become part of global history.

All of these things happened on 14th June in years gone by.

In 1645 the Battle of Naseby was fought.

In 1822   Charles Babbage proposed his Difference Machine to the British Astronomical Society.

In 1940 German troops entered Paris.

In 2015 Mr Syllabub Sea realised his ambition to drive a diesel engine.

Days of adventure,

realising childhood dreams,

moments to treasure.
