Building Blocks of History 7th June

Things happen every day, big and small. Together they make our family history, our local history, our country’s history and sometimes they become part of global history.

All of these things happened on 7th June in years gone by.

In 1099 the first Crusaders arrived at the walls of Jerusalem.

In 1329 Robert the Bruce died.

In 1546 Peace of Ardres was signed, ending England’s war with France and Scotland.

In 2015 we visited Hever Castel, family home of Anne Boleyn.

Take heart, if at first

the plan doesn’t work, you need to

redouble efforts.
