BUILDING BLOCKS OF HISTORY 19th April

Things happen every day, big and small. Together they make our family history, our local history, our country’s history and sometimes they become part of global history.

All of these things happened on 19th April in years gone by.

 

In  1637 Amye Everard became the first woman to be granted a patent for her saffron and rose tincture.

In 1934 Shirley Temple’s first film was released.

In 1956 Grace Kelly married Prince Rainier.

In 2016 I took my class to Cadbury World.

 

Saffron and roses

And rich intense vanilla

fragrant luxuries.
