Things happen every day, big and small. Together they make our family history, our local history, our country’s history and sometimes they become part of global history.
All of these things happened on 5th April in years gone by.
In 1725 Giovanni Giacomo Casanova was born.
In 1895 Oscar Wilde lost his libel case against the Marquis of Queensberry.
In 1910 kissing was banned on French railways because it caused delays.
In 2015 we had a great trip to Kew Gardens.
Romance in the air
With no thought for the future
But time breaks the spell.
