Building Blocks of History 25th January

Things happen every day, big and small. Together they make our family history, our local history, our country’s history and sometimes they become part of global history.

All of these things happened on 25th January in years gone by.

In 1533 Anne Boleyn married Henry VIII.

In 1759, the birth of Robert Burns, celebrated far and wide on Burns Night.

In 1858 Mendelssohn’s Wedding March was performed for the first time at the wedding of the Princess Royal and Crown Prince Frederick.

In 2013 my garden was encased in ice.

Jack Frost dances by.

Encasing your heart in ice.

Dark premonition.
