Building Blocks of History 14th December

Things happen every day, big and small. Together they make our family history, our local history, our country’s history and sometimes they become part of global history.

All of these things happened on 14th December in years gone by.

1542 Mary Stuart became Queen of Scotland.

1911 Roald Amundson reached the South Pole.

1918 in the UK, women (over 30) voted in a General Election for the first time.

2010 we decorated the first Christmas Tree in our new house.

Time of reflection

Dreaming the impossible

Planning for success.
