Building Blocks of History 23rd November

Things happen every day, big and small. Together they make our family history, our local history, our country’s history and sometimes they become part of global history.

All of these things happened on 23rd November in years gone by.

1852 first pillar boxes came into service in the UK.

1963 the first ever episode of DR Who was transmitted on the BBC.

1997 Three biscuit factory workers from Glasgow won the first Biscuit-Dunking Championships.

2014 We woke up to this beautiful sunrise.
