Building blocks of History 19th October

Things happen every day, big and small. Together they make our family history, our local history, our country’s history and sometimes they become part of global history.

All of these things happened on 19th October in years gone by.

In 1812 Napoleon’s retreat from Moscow began.

In 1893 New Zealand gives all women the right to vote.

In 1970 BP announced they had struck oil in the North Sea.

In 2010 I visited the west coast of Ireland.

Life’s busy schedules

A moment of reflection

Re-evaluation.
