Building Blocks of History 12th October

Things happen every day, big and small. Together they make our family history, our local history, our country’s history and sometimes they become part of global history.

All of these things happened on 12th October in years gone by.

In 1609 ‘Three Blind Mice’ was published in London.

In 1812 the first Oktoberfest was held in Bavaria.

In 1984 a bomb attack on the British Cabinet at the Grand Hotel in Brighton.

In 2014 I had a great day visiting  the National Space Centre in Leicester.

Memories of long

forgotten nursery rhymes

dreams of time and space.
