One Photo Focus is organised by Stacy Fisher at Visual Venturing. Stacy provides a ‘before’ picture which participants process/interpret in their own ways and on the first Friday of the month Stacy reveals all the ‘afters’.
This month the original picture was provided by Helen Chen.
The Anping Treehouse in Tainan, Taiwan.
This is my interpretation.
To me, the original picture felt oppressive and sad and reminded me of the the forest of vines and thorns that grew up around Sleeping Beauty’s castle.
Am I a primary school teacher because I think like that or do I think like that because I’m a primary school teacher?
Following the Sleeping Beauty path, I cropped the image, lightened the shadows, added a rainbow gradient layer and finally added some magical sparkles and vines.
I love the sparkly!
I like it too. I thought it might have been too much for the challenge but now I’ve seen the other entries I see I could have had much more ‘magic’.
I like the addition of the green tentacles and the image on torn out paper. Very interesting edit, great job. 😀
Thanks Nic.
Oooh, I love that you came at this from your school teacher perspective, Marie! Sleeping Beauty? Love it!!
Thanks
Love your remake!
😀 Thank you.
You turn it into a nice photo like in an enchanted forest.
😀
Very nice. Both photos are interesting but I like yours best because it has life 😊
Many thanks.
How can I join in and do this? Is this open for anyone to do?
Yes, anyone can join in. Click on the link at the top of the page to get to Stacey’s blog where you will find the instructions.
Marie
Thank you. I will do that 😊
You brightened the dark room and made it a magic and fun place. I want to go in there! Thank you so much for taking time to edit my photo. I have learned a lot from everyone!
My pleasure. I had a lot of fun working on your unusual image.😀
