The Hue of Me

This weekend’s challenge is ‘to share a photograph with a prominent color (or assortment of colors) that reveals more about you’.

The pinks and purples of these hydrangeas are my favourite colours.  They evoke strong memories, reminding me of my Grandma, who died when I was about five.  I have few memories of her but I do remember lots of hydrangeas just like these beside her front door – at eye level for a five year old.  She always wore a sort of all over apron thing which crossed over at the front to fasten which were covered in tiny blue and pink  flowery patterns, which in my memory have morphed into hydrangeas. Now, many years later,  these hydrangeas are in my garden so I now associate them with home as well as with Grannie.

As this challenge asked for pictures which reveal  more about ‘you’ I’ve included some digital manipulations of the original image to show  the other work, techie and forward looking, side of me.
