Weekly Photo Challenge – the sign says

Market in Florence

Market in Florence

This is my contribution to the Weekly Photo Challenge – The Sign Says    It was taken in the glorious covered market in Florence a few years ago – as connoisseurs will no doubt be able to tell from the price.  I don’t know what the sign says! I’d assumed it was the Italian word for artichokes but I’ve recently been told that would be  carciofo.  Whatever it means,  the photo still transports me straight back to  Florence,  one of my favourite cities.
