This week’s challenge was to post a series of photos showing a day in your life, using the tiled gallery. Yesterday we went to London for a Tour of Wembly Stadium which was part of My Knight in Shining Armour’s Christmas present. The tour was in the afternoon so we spent the morning in Covent Garden one of my favourite parts of London. It was a great day, despite the cold and snow showers. I now know all sorts of interesting facts about Wembly and I had fun taking lots of photos for this challenge – here are a few of them to give you a flavour of our day.
We caught the 8 o’clock train to London.
St. Pancras International was not too busy when we arrived.
On the was to breakfast we passed this brightly painted building on Euston Road.
We joined in the Easter Egg Hunt at Covent Garden.
We explored the surrounding streets.
We passed this little treasure chest as we strolled to Leicester Square.
We changed trains at Baker Street.
We had a cup of tea and passed Sherlock Holmes on the way.
Back in the tube we passed this sculpture.
Our first view of Wembly Stadium designed by Norman Foster.
We had a fascinating tour around the stadium with a funny, knowledgeable guide.
Inside the team changing rooms.
One of the world’s largest restaurants inside the stadium.
We had an unexpected trip on this London Bus when we discovered the tube was closed for ‘planned engineering works’.
We got back to the station tired and hungry.
Supper at the John Betjeman Pub in St Pancras before we got the train home.
